Summer is almost (officially) here and, as anyone living in a place that experiences harsh winters knows, it is a highly coveted season that involves spending as much time outside as possible! Whether your outdoor space is a large, private yard, a tiny balcony, a public park or anything in between this is the place for bright colour and bold graphic patterns. It's a short season so have fun with it!

We spotted this mod patio in Elle Decor Espana and have been daydreaming about lounging here ever since. Located on the Aquitaine Coast of France and decked out (had to) in bright design classics this place is seriously beautiful.

Here is a little grouping we sourced out on 1stDibs that could easily hang out in this scene. Above, a shiny, candy red planter adds a pop of bright. To the left, an amazing set of chrome Verner Panton chairs and below, a yellow metal planter stand that would be perfect for mint plants (because you know how invasive mint is yet how essential it is to anyone with a love for a cold Mojito on a hot day).

This gorgeous rooftop patio looks out onto the city of Madrid and serves as a hip lounge for fashion designer Miguel Palacio. We love the mixing of patterns here and could see the Huron Chair from West Elm and this fun striped pouf from Dash & Albert added to the mix.

Here are a few more cool outdoor accessories we love (from the left); fun picnic blankets by Twine in retro colours and patterns, ceramic and leather hanging planter by Farrah Sit for Anthropologie, Sunbrella outdoor fabric, Braided Pouf by Fresh American and Robert Allen Outdoor Fabric.

When it comes to outdoor spaces we think you can be as bold as you like. Don't hold back and have fun with it. Happy Summer!
